Birdie Bans are traditional Hakka dim sum that have become rare in Hong Kong. We recreate them using traditional Hakka recipes, preserving the classic shape and chewy glutinous texture for those who miss authentic "old Hong Kong" flavors.
Frozen storage: up to 2 weeks. Store immediately in the freezer (-18°C or below) upon delivery. Steam before eating. Do not refreeze after thawing.
Each box contains 12 pieces, perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea, or dessert. Great for sharing with family and friends.
We offer two flavors: Garlic Pork Shrimp Crunchy (with garlic chives, fried pork bits, dried shrimp, and dried tofu) and Radish Peanut Crunchy (with radish, celery, peanuts, and dried tofu). Both are wrapped in soft, chewy rice flour skin.
The main difference between Piglet Bans™️ and Birdie Bans™️ is the shape: Piglet Bans™️ are sphere-shaped (round), while Birdie Bans™️ are gold ingot-shaped (金元寶). Both have the same soft, chewy texture and are made with fresh ingredients daily.
Our Radish Peanut Crunchy flavor is vegetarian, containing only vegetables and plant-based ingredients (radish, celery, dried tofu, peanuts, and rice flour). However, our Garlic Pork Shrimp Crunchy and Amaranth Greens Ban contain pork and dried shrimp, so they are not vegetarian. All our products are made with only real ingredients, no additives or preservatives, handcrafted fresh daily.
"Birdie Bans™️" is the traditional Hakka name, referring to their small, delicate bird-like shape. The shape also resembles Chinese gold ingots (金元寶), symbolizing wealth and prosperity, making them perfect as Chinese New Year gifts. The name carries Hakka cultural heritage and childhood memories, symbolizing togetherness and prosperity.

Yes! We deliver to all 18 districts across Hong Kong through SF Express's temperature-controlled cold chain delivery service. Your dumplings are shipped frozen at -18°C to -15°C to ensure they arrive perfectly frozen. Door-to-door delivery is available throughout Hong Kong (excluding remote areas like Lamma Island, Cheung Chau, and Peng Chau). You can also choose self-pickup at designated SF Express locations.
Free delivery is available for orders over HK$500 across all Hong Kong districts through SF Express. For orders under HK$500, a delivery fee applies.
